TAFE Online Stage 2

New year, new resolutions...post more audio to Podomatic and blog it!

This project has formally finished but the ripples continue. Our team is still involved in a TAFE Online Technologies project. We'll be able to trial a Sharepoint Portal for a server to store media resources, there's still some tweaking to be done to get this feature working with student accounts and undertake some testing. Really looking forward to some server muscle for audio...the free stuff on the Internet is great but they can pull up stakes at any time, charge a fee...ODEO anyone???!!!

Experimenting with videoblogs

At the Learning without Borders Workshop 22 Nov 2006 I was very excited to do a mini videoblog at the workshop with Steven Parker who posted it to blip/tv and here is the link:

FW: Students to receive lecture notes on their mobiles

Will we ever catch up?!!!

Students to receive lecture notes on their mobiles

STUDENTS at a Scottish university are to have their lecture notes sent
to their mobile phones in a pioneering bid to replace paper handouts in
classes.

Great links for teachers

I’m testing this ‘email to blog’ facility again!

Here are a couple of good websites for teachers:

It was great to have some time to work on our audiodynamism projects today. Anna and I are developing some resources which include audio for ABE students who are waiting to enrol or who have run out of work. We are updating them and adding to them all the time. Check out this work in progress!

WSI-OTEN Showcase

Audiodynamism was asked to present the project in a 20 minute slot at Kingswood campus - I feared the worst - a numb bum and face from smiling insincerely for the rest of the three hours. Wrong! All the presenters had interesting things to say/show/do and the range of engagement with learning technologies was impressive. Hopefully there'll be some cross-pollination of projects. With the end of the year bearing down upon us, the usual avalanche of work may get in the way of collaboration on FUN things for teaching and learning....bah humbug?
Audio from the showcase will be uploaded to Podomatic soon (as soon as I find the USB cable)!

How to present what we've learnt so far
